You might think all frac plugs are the same. And you’d be wrong. Not all plugs are made equal, and PurpleSeal™ composite plugs are the best of the best. These are just six ways that our plug stands out—and six reasons why you need to add the real deal PurpleSeal™ to your completion.

1. Signature purple seal

There’s a reason we named it the PurpleSeal™ composite frac plug: it’s the only plug in the field that comes with a purple rubber seal. This is the fastest and easiest way to know you’re holding a PurpleSeal™ plug. But you’ll quickly notice even more features that make our plug stand out.

2. Affordable pricing

We don’t mark up our plugs 300% to turn a higher profit. Our plugs are reasonably priced so you can get the downhole tools you need without blowing your budget. And you won’t find any hidden costs behind our affordable price tag. We don’t charge for call-outs, stipends, service, or environmental fees. When it comes to pricing, what you see is what you pay.

3. Successful deployment

PurpleSeal™ plugs run at high speeds using less water and with extremely low instances of pre-sets, thanks to the plug’s slip bands. Fused slips and cones also provide an industry-leading run-in-hole success rate of 99.97%, while avoiding any damage to the plug and without leaving any unwanted foreign materials behind.

4. Increased fluid speed

Every PurpleSeal™ plug comes with a pump-down fin, free of charge. This allows the plug to pump at 65–70% fluid speed. Compare that with the standard plug pump-down of 40–50% of fluid speed, and it’s clear that PurpleSeal™ plugs run faster by design. (Don’t want the fin? We can’t imagine why, but don’t worry, you can easily remove it.)

5. Effective engagement and isolation

Modern frac plugs have cut backup systems and pushed element length to the limits, to the point where they’re compromising the plug’s integrity. That’s not the case with the PurpleSeal™. Its 3” rubber element doesn’t just look good—it also ensures more than 1” of engagement with the casing, with an anti-extrusion system that effectively isolates the stage, even in oval casing.

6. Better drill-out

Operators agree that PurpleSeal™ plugs drill out better than any other plug on the market. Unlike other providers (who use round cones and slips to cut costs), our plugs have flat surfaces on their cones and slips to ensure a concentric set and even casing engagement. Interlocking castellations also prevent rotation during drill out, giving you smaller debris, shorter wash times, and reduced drill time. In fact, average drill-out is just five minutes, with about 30 minutes of wash time.
